This class is designed for beginning-level students ages 12 to 16. To master all eighty-eight keys, start with the fundamentals. This class emphasizes proper posture, hand technique, note identification, basic rhythms, dynamics, and more. Students will experience the satisfaction of playing their first tunes.
This is a three-term course (fall, winter, spring) that runs the full school year, and it is the first year of a three-year program of group instruction designed to prepare students eventually for private lessons.
This class uses Faber Piano Adventures books. Class fee includes a materials fee for lesson books and supplies. The materials fee is discounted by the Access Pass (if applicable). Refunds for the materials fee provided upon return of the items in new condition.
